Sven Jense, born in The Netherlands in 1976, considers himself part of the spoilt generation. He has a MSc. degree from the University of Amsterdam in Political Science, works in the arts as a theatre director, filmmaker and part-time violinist.
Recent projects in the arts and sciences include the documentary film Replace, his Masters’ thesis on Migration and Development, a research trip to Iran focusing on empathy and perception, and a number of theatre performances on subjects like the Dalai Lama, Arabs in Europe, boat refugees and extinction of a certain fish.
Right now he works on the Global Crisis Guide, related theatre projects, a Diaspora University aimed at offering education to migrants from developing nations and a collaborative art project in Russia. More at www.svenjense.com.
